About Us

Genesee County Community Mental Health (GCCMH) has provided services to Genesee County residents for over 40 years. 

In FY10, the network of providers operated or funded by GCCMH served 15,143 individuals, with a total budget of approximately $138.8 million. Of the 15,143 individuals we served, 1,394 received both mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Welcome to the new Genesee County Community Mental Health website!  For over 40 years, we have been the primary Genesee County public service provider for individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Through continuous innovation and expansion of our programs, we hope to maximize our positive impact on the community well into the future.

From spearheading the creation of a Recovery Oriented System of Care to emphasizing the physical well-being of our consumers, GCCMH has grown to serve well over 15,000 people every year while working with countless businesses and organizations in the area. Our commitment to our consumers has driven us to incorporate the best standards of care from around the country, using evidence based practices in a culture of gentleness.
