What is InShape?

InShape is a health promotion program for individuals with mental illness.
What does InShape do?
It is a wellness program that brings together the consumer, health mentors, and community organizations to provide consumers with health, exercise, and nutritional information.
Consumers will have access to:
  • Health mentors who support and encourage consumers twice a week on participant-chosen activities such as aerobics, yoga, strength training, or sports.
  • Supported visits to community fitness centers.
  • Nutritional counseling and education.
  • Smoking cessation support.
  • Encouragement to receive medical check-ups, and in management of health conditions.
  • Celebrations to acknowledge achievements, win prizes, and develop peer relationships.
What if I am not ready for InShape?
You may need to start in a different direction before joining InShape. There are other wellness programs you can participate in before exploring InShape. Our Customer Service department has a variety of groups and trainings you can select from.  For more information, contact the Customer Services department.
