Genesee County Community Mental Health (GCCMH) is the Coordinating Agency (CA) designated to serve Genesee County. There are sixteen regional CAs across Michigan. CA core functions are to:
- Plan services in their region
- Procure and contract with agencies to provide those services
- Monitor agencies to assure services are delivered as contractually required
Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services
Those seeking treatment for substance use disorders can access a number of providers and services with and near Genesee County. Funding is provided for a continuum of consumer-centered substance use disorder treatment services for people who are uninsured, under-insured, Adult Benefit Waiver, Medicaid, or MIChild recipients.
Access to Services
Anyone seeking services for a substance use disorder should contact the GCCMH Access Center for a screening and referral. Screenings are completed, and if eligible, followed by referral to the appropriate provider. Individuals experiencing a co-occurring mental health disorder are welcome.
